The late bloomer-The Intro

I've usually been on the bandwagon with most up-and-coming things, well, except blogging.

Now, after much encouragement from a good friend of mine, I decided perhaps it was time to start one of my own. I'm mainly starting this as a way of documenting my journey. I often will tell friends my anecdotes and we sometimes joke about how my life could really be a far more entertaining show than the trivial drama of the Kardashians. Although, they are much nicer to look at, my reality isn’t any less interesting! HAHA!

I am a Latina 28 year old woman. My parents are both Mexican and I was raised with very traditional values. I am the mother to a 6 year old that is far more organized than I am at times. She sometimes makes me wonder who wears the pants in our relationship.

I have a disorganized group of friends of which I have close friends, best friends, and distant best friends, oh and of course everyone else! I consider most of my acquaintances friends since acquaintance well, just sounds so impersonal.

I have been separated twice now since 2009 and am still going through a divorce... isn’t it almost 2012? Sheesh! Exhausting!

Recently, I have signed up for an online dating website in hopes of finding someone to get a lil companionship from. Short-end of it, I’m failing miserably. Hey! You can’t find the good until you've seen the bad right?

I have high goals for myself and haven’t met any of them professionally because well the truth is, life is life, and well I’ve got to put responsibilities like rent, and bills before education.

So that's my short but lengthy intro. I hope that you find my posts interesting, comical, or simply entertaining because quite honestly, “It really isn’t that serious!” Cheers! -SLM
